A watch is the single most important accessory a man can own, it is an essential style element. As you might imagine, I am acutely aware of these kinds of details and I must say I've noticed too many casual watches making their way into office/work/formal settings. It screams sloppy (and so do I) and I urge all of you who wear your multi-function sport watches with your suits and other dressier attire to pick up something slightly more sophisticated.

And just to clarify, if your watch has a night-vision feature, measures distances, calculates altitude, has a compass, has a rubber strap, and/or has a digital display, it is the wrong thing to wear to a more formal occasion be it the office, a more formal party, etc.

Here is a list of things to consider when looking for your watch.

First Consider Your Lifestyle

I do suggest having different watches for both work and play if your lifestyle merits it or you simply like having variety. However, when buying a dressier watch, you should choose something that is classic or more lasting. I'm not as concerned about sporty/technical watches since they have a tendency to be less expensive--such as those made by Nike, Suunto and Polar. And let me be brutally honest, there's nothing stylish about them anyway - they are about function. Now if you have a sporty watch like the Omega Seamaster, that's a different story. Can we say James Bond?

A Stainless-Steel Bracelet

Stainless steel is more practical than leather and is certainly more durable. It's dressy enough to be worn with a business suit and casual enough for other occasions. So not only is it versatile, but it's waterproof to boot. You could always go for gold if you wanted to drop some serious cash, but be careful since it might give off an unfavorable impression.

The Face

Another thing that gets me when it comes to watches is the size of the watch face relative to the wrist that's wearing it. On bigger men a standard watch face can end up looking like a ladies watch. Watch makers are continually coming out with watches that have larger than standard faces. In fact, it has become quite a trend. I personally love bigger watch faces whether you're a big guy or not, it's a great look.

Water Resistance

It's a great feature if you shower or swim with your watch on, but let's be honest, who really does that? I like it because if you get caught in the rain or get your watch accidentally wet, you don't have to worry. And by the way, water resistant can mean several things so be sure you ask to what degree the watch really is resistant. Some watches will resist moisture from accidental splashing, rain, sweat, etc. and others will resist moisture up to certain depths such as 50 or 100 meters.

The Color of the Face and Strap

There is a trend to have dials and straps in exciting colors. I've seen it from cheap to expensive watches. When building a classic wardrobe stick to the tried and true colors that you know will blend and look appropriate in a business or formal setting. Save the trendy colors for a second or third watch if you must.

Music Review: Who Rules RAP

Rhythm And Poetry are the words that represent the acronym which stand for RAP and this is the topic in contention... who is a better rapper? For a long time we have pondered on this same issue and still have not been able to come to a concrete conclusion, as the debate started with only two lyricists in view it expanded with the coming of new rappers and/or rappers that re-discovered them selves...

So now from my point of view the battle rages between four main rappers in the cycle of thing within the Hip Hop sector... Each with a different swagger, style and target.... I would start with a quick run-down of the four in my list based on the opinion poll so far......
MI the concrete lyricist that has stolen the heart of fans within all age groups and still know how to turn on the ladies....
Rugged Man the strictly Naija rapper that believes that being down to earth gets the message across better and still gives him an appeal that helps him sell records...
Freestyle the boy that finds it easy getting his swagger on in front of any crowd, has proven that he can perform with any artist and he is the boy that most of his fans have watched as he has grown in his profession to be the man he is today......

and last but definitely not least Mode9 the self acclaimed champion of the rap game who believes that "hip hop is hip hop" and not some commercial thing that should be compromised just so you could sell a couple of albums, big boy with a strong presence and a good command of the rap vocabulary....

There you have it, all four rappers in their own rights champions, but all stand on different stages in the same rap game.

Jim Iyke denies failed relationship rumour: My Jamaican lover hasn’t dumped me

Nigerian Film Corporation MD arrested for embezzlement, agrees to refund money

The Managing Director and four other directors of the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFI) have been arrested, for embezzling N11.8 million of.the corporation's funds, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and agreed to refund money they embezzled.
Sources say the officials confessed to sharing the money.
Earlier this year the management of the corporation proposed moving the corporation's headquarters to Abuja and this was approved but later cancelled.
However, "N11.8 million had, however, been already released from the movement but the officials decided not to refund the money to the ministry but shared it among 11 staff of the corporation,"
Other people who got a part of the money benefited innocently without the knowledge of where the money came from or what it was meant for," a source said.
Those who benefited innocently will not be asked to refund any money.

So let this be a lesson to all those who still think that curroption pays and for all those who like free money, just thank your stars that the EFCC did not come down on you with all their wrath...

Ryan Seacrest has signed a lucrative new deal that keeps him hosting "American Idol" through 2012 as well as participating in new projects.

The partnership, announced Monday by 19 Enter

tainment, a wholly owned subsidiary of CKX Inc., provides an opportunity for on-air-personality/producer Seacrest and his Ryan Seacrest Productions banner to work with "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller on new entertainment endeavors.

It takes a big personality to stop a Jay-Z concert, and they don't get much bigger than the one who stopped Hov's show in Atlanta on Sunday night: Mother Nature. Jay's stop off at ATL's Chastain Park Amphitheater was cancelled due to poor weather.

"I pulled up to the venue, they said the rain was gonna continue for another three or four hours," Hov explained during a call to DJ Drama at Atlanta's Hot 107.9 radio station Sunday night. "I said, 'Well, I seen Diana Ross at Central Park in the rain [in 1983].' They said, 'Nah, it's a thunderstorm, you can't do that.' "

While on the radio, Jay joked that he was upset with Drama, Young Jeezy and Jermaine Dupri because they allowed the weather stop his show.

"I would never let in rain in my city. I got control over things like that," Hov laughed. Although the show was cancelled, Jay said he was hoping to make the date up when he gets a break in his schedule — he said he's looking at August 13 for a make-up date.

Jay also said he was prepared to give the fans in ATL a tribute to Michael Jackson during his set, as he did at previous stops on the tour.

La Toya Jackson: Band of Hangers-On Killed Michael

Michael Jackson was killed by a band of greedy hangers-on, his sister La Toya alleges in interviews with British Sunday newspapers.
The King of Pop's sister spoke about her younger brother's death and the aftermath with The Mail on Sunday and the News of the World weeklies.
"I believe Michael was murdered, I felt that from the start,'' the 53-year-old said.
"Not just one person was involved, rather it was a conspiracy of people. He was surrounded by a bad circle. Michael was a very meek, quiet, loving person. People took advantage of that."

Man,s world or Woman's world

Hi, there is in no way a sexist approach to this topic its just a wild thought. I have been wondering why is it that men choose to accept things the way they are or should i say the way women see it... Men are relatively hard workers and we work to earn a living... so do women, we work so we could eventually rest and retire happy... so do women, so i don't get it when a man and woman hang out a man has to pay for every thing.

There is still another puzzle i cant seem to unravel... A guy gets stranded on a lonely street and needs a ride desperately, did you know he could be there for hours and not even have as much as a car horn hunk at him to get out of the way they would rather want to run him down(No matter how cute he may seem)... But a girl on the other hand is standing on the same street waiting for a cab... and all these cars keep asking her where she's going to give her a lift or free ride...the irony hun?

So most times when they say its a man's world i wonder...I really do...really because they say whoever owns the resources owns the world right? men have all the resources but the real question is who controls it? so i guess who ever controls the resources own the resources right? Then it is right to say that no one knows for sure whose world it is....
